Kazem Gharibabadi, international affairs deputy and secretary of the Iranian Judiciary’s human rights committee, said the ceremony will also mark the Islamic Human Rights and Human Dignity Day.
He said Judiciary Chief Hojat-ol-Islam Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, a number of other senior officials, and ambassadors of Islamic countries in Tehran will attend the event.
He added that the award will be given to two individuals selected by the committee.
According to Gharibabai, at the ceremony a scholar with outstanding work in explaining Islamic human rights will be honored and a martyr will also be commemorated.
Winners of the Islamic Human Rights Award will receive a certificate of honor and ten Bahar Azadi coins.
